Story Corner, by Nazish Bajwa. Episode 1: "The Fisherman and his Wife", Grimm, Howe (part 1)
July 09, 2009 03:42 PM PDT
Shownotes: In this episode, we look at the story of "The Fisherman and his Wife", adapted from the Brothers Grimm, with illustrations by John Howe. In particular, wish number one. Curious? Just you wait and see how greedy people can be!
In this podcast my focus was using the editing tools to create a compelling narrative, with different effects to alter my own voice in order to play three different characters. The fisherman voice was created with the effect "change pitch", and the flounder voice with the effect "echo". I used quite a bit of audio cropping to ensure a brisk pace to the storytelling. I found the music on Ioda Promonet, I felt the soothing yet slightly spooky tone perfectly fit the mood and setting.
